with NASA's NuSTAR Mission

The last Science on Screen presentation for the year is an introduction to the Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR), a NASA small explorer mission that was successfully launched in June 2012. We will talk about the innovative technology at the heart of NuSTAR as well as discuss some of the exciting science results of NuSTAR's mission up to now.
The movie for this last Science on Screen presentation is The Martian (PG-13;2015), a smart, thrilling, surprisingly funny and faithful adaptation of the bestselling book that brings out the best in leading man Matt Damon and director Ridley Scott.

Students may get extra class credits for attending.
